When I opened this app I was met with a 4×4 grid containing 9 images. Each image can be clicked to enlarge and is accompanied by a sound.
The unofficial theme of the reviews this week has been imaginative play. This app is so unique in its field it would be a shame to pass it up. With the ability to add pictures with accompanying sounds children, and adults, will be busy for a long time with this interesting canvas.
The first thought that came to mind was “Scavenger Hunt”. Parents could make a list and then go on a hunt for the items allowing the kids to match up noises with the pictures. Whether the noises simply be the name of the object or the sound the object makes.
I selected every age range for this app because it truly spans every knowledge level. Young children will love to tap the pictures and hear the sounds while older children will enjoy taking pictures and creating their own sounds. This is an app that allows children to express their creativity in a very different way.
You will be able to create grids for virtually any topic. Counting, colors, shapes, animals, cars…the possibilities are endless. This app would also be a good tool for children’s authors to use as a storyboard. Each picture is allowed a narration and it would be great for that. You would record an entire book with images to match.
I have honestly never seen anything like this, it’s really cool. You can download the app here: link

Thanks a lot for this review. It’s the first time I hear about his new “scavenger hunt” usage possibility, which sounds very good… I’ll check with my kids !
