Synopsis:
A “Recipe for a Perfect Day with Dad” is a child fantasy story. About a boy who imagines what a perfect day with his dad could look like (referred to as “cooking thoughts”). The situations described, range from humoristic to wild, to the totally improbable. As the child starts to put his imaginary ingredients together the magic of the story begins. His street turns into a river, the way to school, to a jungle and his way back from school into a wild adventure with his dad. There is a lot to see and much more to find, the book is full of surprises that will delight your child.
Review:
In usual Tabtales fashion this story lacks in nothing. The interactive touch points are so frequent that children will never become bored with the story. That is not to say that the story is boring, far from it. The story is excellent at stimulating the imagination with silly ideas for recipes that are sure to delight children of any age. The illustrations are simple and to the point. There are some realistic images and then more fantastic images that fit in very well with the story itself. My favorite illustration was the one of the dark room where the reader can tap and turn on the light.
