About Ahgoo Review
Ahgoo Review is a book and app review site for children and their parents. My mission is to encourage early literacy and family reading in an effort to build readers for life.
Every day a book is reviewed and rated in five categories. Those categories are then averaged to provide an overall review score. At first I was reviewing the book without categories but I feel breaking it down gives a fair rating by judging all aspects of the book. I am hoping to increase the amount of apps reviewed to make it a permanent weekly feature.
Ahgoo Review was born because of my passion for reading and writing. My husband is the mastermind behind the name. My daughter was saying, “ahgoo” constantly from 3 months on so he suggested Ahgoo Review.
Since first developing the website it has grown and evolved and continues to do so everyday. I now present a new non-profit organization every week in hopes of advocating for that organization and promoting activism for literacy. Every day I come up with new and different ideas and am constantly thinking of how to improve upon Ahgoo Review.

About the Author
Leanne McGinty is the award winning author of the children’s book The Doll House. The Doll House was originally published in 1996. On April 13th of 1996, the 17 year old had a book signing at Lombardo’s in Randolph, Massachusetts. On that day 197 books were sold. In attendance at the book signing were many friends and relatives and even Tim Cahill, who ran for governor of Massachusetts last year. The book signing was publicized in a two page article in the Patriot Ledger that displayed two full photograph’s of Leanne. Following the book signing Leanne received a commendation from the city of Quincy, Massachusetts for publishing a book at such a young age.

Fifteen years later Leanne finds herself happily married with a child of her own. Her passion for books has prompted her to create Ahgoo Review to provide well rounded reviews for families to enjoy together.
